Job 1 -- Inventory and Supply Chain Analyst

Responsible for analyzing logistics data, using methods such as data mining, data modeling, or cost or benefit analysis.
Prepare reports on inventory, logistics performance measures applying analytic methods or tools to understand, predict, or control logistics operations or processes.
Maintain databases of inventory information and logistics records in accordance with corporate policies.
Develop and maintain freight rate databases for use by supply chain departments to determine the most economical modes of transportation.
Develop and maintain models for logistics uses, such as cost estimating or demand forecasting.
Review procedures, such as distribution or inventory management, to ensure maximum efficiency or minimum cost.
Provide ongoing analyses in areas such as transportation costs, parts procurement, back orders, or delivery processes.
Manage systems to ensure that pricing structures adequately reflect logistics cost and identify opportunities for inventory reductions.
Monitor inventory transactions at warehouse facilities to assess receiving, storage, shipping, or inventory integrity and compute reporting metrics, such as on-time delivery rates, order fulfillment rates, or inventory turns.
Interpret data on logistics elements, such as availability, maintainability, reliability, supply chain management, strategic sourcing or distribution, supplier management, or transportation.
Reorganize shipping schedules to consolidate loads, maximize vehicle usage, or limit the movement of empty vehicles or containers and arrange for sale or lease of excess storage or transport capacity to minimize losses or inefficiencies associated with empty space.
monitor industry standards, trends, or practices to identify developments in logistics planning or execution.
Recommend improvements to existing or planned logistics processes and revise standard operating procedures for logistics processes.


Job 2 - Inventory Analysis

Responsible for daily analysis and execution of the procurement process for Retail and Ecommerce sales demand
Analyze data from various sources to make decisions on optimal purchase quantities
Purchase and maintain target inventory levels in line with forecasts, sales trends and advertising plans
Ability to execute various analytic strategies for multiple distribution centers
Monitor and update key factors including supplier lead-time, minimum order quantities and DC safety stock resulting in accurate requisition quantities
Daily correspondence with domestic and international vendors
Collaborate with Global Sourcing, Imports, Accounting and Distribution Center personnel to research and resolve supply chain issues

Job 3 - Supply Chain Analysis

Execute processes and procedures (e.g., SOPs, work instructions) and provide recommendations for updates for applicable Supply Chain functions.
Collaborate with departments (such as sales, operations, finance) within the company in order to assess needs and perform actions required, across the entire supply chain continuum (e.g., plan, source, make and deliver) seeking to manage product flow including issues with limited scope.
Assist team members in assessing global vendors to ensure cost, quality, delivery, technical, and service capabilities to meet the company's requirements; identify and resolve supply chain issues.
Perform routine analysis to improve supply chain operations.
Deliver assigned supply chain objectives in support of monthly and annual plan, while balancing material availability against cost
Proactively plan future raw material requirements taking into account new product launch timing and upcoming product mix changes
Provide forecasts to suppliers as required based on sales and production plans
Provide documentation on production delays and out of stocks due to raw materials or alternate material use; root cause analysis
Researching market trends related to assigned commodities to predict cost changes
Provide input into the planning cycle by providing annual volume, pricing and trend forecasts
Daily communication to support replenishment of on-site levels based on demand
Engaged in inventory analysis
Update cost saving reports monthly or as required to support business objectives
Participation and/or leading cross-functional supply chain projects
