Thank you for your note. I apologize that I was not aware that only 2 semesters of CES were allowed. Although you did not mention this, I thought I should ask if there is an appeal process in place to allow reconsideration of CES beyond 2 semesters due to health issues?

The need for additional time, in the form of CES, is because I have spent the past year getting multiple assessments, trying different treatment plans and undergoing several procedures, all to address the intermittent but persistent stabbing electrical head pain I have been experiencing. There have also been setbacks. A sinus CT scan was misread as normal, however later on re-examination, the scan revealed significant sinus disease and I finally had sinus surgery last week. That experience has been frustrating because I have been seeing ENT over the last 2-3 years and this was not diagnosed until now. In addition to the sinus component, there is also a nerve component, which has made the cause of the pain difficult to diagnose. I am being seen at the Complex Facial Pain Clinic at Johns Hopkins Medical Center in Baltimore and scheduled in a couple of weeks with a neurosurgeon for decompression of blood vessels that are pushing on a major nerve at my temples and causing the shooting face and eye pain. It has taken a long time to be heard, rather than dismissed as having a migraine or psychological issue, and I feel I am finally getting somewhere.

I would like to clarify "Permission to Finish your Degree Elsewhere". Thank you for sending the application. If the request is granted, and the remaining credits are attained from another university, such as the University of Minnesota, would they be transferrable to Wake and would my degree still be from Wake Forest? Do you foresee any difficulty in me obtaining Permission, and for the class to be an ONLINE class?

With respect to the Incomplete status classes, can I finish these up as planned?

I'm sorry for the lengthy explanation but I feel I owe you an explanation for the continued academic disruption. I really appreciate your help and am so sorry and upset that the last requirements of my degree have had to take so long to finish.
