input ---> system ---> output || So in our case, we're trying to make a connection between our brain and a computer, in fact, we already have that. You type on your mobile (that's your input into the system) and the mobile shows you stuff on the screen (output from the system to you).... now the output is very fast, but the input is slow.. it is limited by the speed of your typing, speaking. If this changes, now the input via a chip can be very fast; new applications we never thought of will emerge.
