Gilderoy Lockhart menggunakan mantra ini untuk membuang ular ke arah Draco Malfoy saat pertemuan Klub Duel pertama pada tahun 1992. Usahanya sia-sia, karena mantra itu hanya menyebabkan ular terbang ke atas, yang hanya diperparah lebih jauh.
Hermione Granger juga pernah pakai mantra ini. Untuk mencegah Nagini ular menyerang Harry Potter di rumah Bathilda Bagshot di Godric's Hollow
