Marketing fascinates me as it relates to much more than just numbers and statistics, it consists of strategy, creativity and psychology; it challenges one's ability to be creative as well as logical.
Having studied Business at sixth form, I was introduced to a variety of interesting topics but didn’t feel satisfied with the depth in which I learned about them. I would love the opportunity to study marketing at university as the marketing aspect of the course appealed to me the most.
My initial interest in marketing developed whilst completing a module on it during sixth form. In my second year, I took part in Subway’s student challenge in which I was tasked with creating a hypothetical product and marketing campaign. This gave me a taste of the creativity behind marketing and made me aware that a company's commercial success cannot be pinned down to mere luck; rather, it is caused by intelligent marketing strategy, utilising trends and influencing the way consumers think. This is what fuelled my enthusiasm for marketing and motivated me to apply for this course.
