Being an international third-year Computer Science student at Purdue, I certainly believe I've come a long way with learning new things, developing projects on my own and being a leader as well as a teaching assistant. I've grown not only as a student but also as a person: from a shy introverted girl who detested answering questions in class, to a confident girl who loves taking the lead and be a mentor. With my past experience as an Android teaching assistant at Facebook University - which in fact supports under-represented students in tech, I've finally had the chance to showcase my Android skills at a 2019 summer SWE internship at Quizlet. I would be honored to be able to attend the 2019 Grace Hopper Celebration Conference to meet such remarkable women as well as appreciate their contribution to the field. It would be a dream come true to be able to present my thoughts and support other brilliant and strong women at the conference.


Being a strong supporter of women in Tech, I'm currently in the position of the secretary for Computer Science Women's Network, while in the previous year, being the corporate liaison for the same. I'm also the internal relations officer for Ms. Tech Purdue collective. Along with these leadership roles, this is my fourth semester as a teaching assistant for Purdue's CS 177 - a python programming class.
