okay, well, i only know about it bc we watched the trailer in english. but basically, its about 'two 1990s teenage siblings find themselves in a 1950s sitcom, where their influence begins to profoundly change that complacent world.'
in the trailer, the siblings get sucked into a sitcom thats in black and white and while they try to find a way to get out, they start getting close to people in the show. and sister falls for a boy from the high school and they get together. but soon bc of the relationship, things start to change. color starts appearing, it starts raining and people start becoming real people with real personalities, not just characters in a show.

i was thinking john could be from the show and dave could be the one that changes things. and maybe add dirk and jake?

i kinda wanna see him as a semi popular jock. track, if anything, but like??? jock john and dave at a drive in movies and dave leans over and pulls him into a kiss??? ((partly bc that happened in the trailer) and then color starts appearing around the town.

and dave just freezes, staring at john like '...youre not suppose to be here... we had our heartful teary goodbyes, how are you here!'


'W...What is that?' Pointing to the turntables and looking at Dave terrified. 'Where am I? Is...Is this the future?'


dave nods, shifting to stand in front of john, trying to hide the turntables and everything else. "you came back with me... i dont know how but this is where im from."


"Holy crap..." He looks around and his eyes darting around the room. "...everythings...in color....and...what..."


Dirk just walking in and seeing a 50's teenager and pausing. "Uh...? Its not halloween yet due."


'dirk!" dave freaks, knowing that he had been gone for a long time and had actually started to miss his brother. but to dirk, dave hadnt disappeared or anything.


yeah!!! Like its been an hour in his world like normal dave being in his room. "Dave?" He looks confused as fuck


yeah!! fuck, what if jake is actually like, a great great cousin of johns??? i dunno what it would be called but you know what i mean, and hes with dirk!!
'um... nothing."

"Whose the dress up kid?"
"Im not playing dress up." John stands up and grumbles. "My name is John Egbert."


((i just remembered that when dave and john meet, everything is in black and white, so dave wouldnt know that john has the bluest of blue eyes
dave looks back at john, knowing under everything he was feeling, he was probably upset that he was here and not at home. "we need to get you change." he tugged off his hoodie and gave it to john, not bothering with dirk.


but when they kiss he gets color first in his eyes!!!
Dirk in a stunned silence knowing John Egbert is supposed to be one of Jakes relatives but he was some old old guy probably dead. Not some hunky jock in his teens


yes!!! and dave just looks at him, partly confused by the sudden color but so use to seeing it, he isnt phased. just, 'you have blue eyes..."
somehow it didnt click that john was related to jake, brushing off the similar looks as nothing.


and yess John being confused and looking at him,"Blue....?" He mumbled confused.
JOHN BEING COLOR BLIND FOR ALITTLE BIT IN THE NEW TIME


dave nodded, unable to look away. "ive... never seen anything like it."
yes!!! and what if when color starts showing up, its kinda like the soulmate color au? certain people only see a certain color at first, (for dave he would see blues at first bc of john) and john would see reds after red bc of dave
what should happen when jake meets john?


maybe jake is the one thats like "Thats my fucking family member but hes a hunk and not old???"


And daves just there, clinging to john like, "this is my boyfriend, hes colorblind right now but he has the most perfect blue eyes- dirk ill fight you!!"


John just being hella confused.
"Um...I came from 1953 so....Im...-" He hears like an alarm clock and a loud ass car rev up and freaks out
also just computers and John staring at them alittle freaked out


john has anxiety!!! well, more than usual.
but dave teaches him how to cope and ways to keep himself calm.
!!!! once john gets the hang of things, he finds the music on daves phone and listens to them, finding that they help calm him. dave finds him curled up asleep, his playlist of songs he wrote playing softly

John running track for the highschool and easily finding the hidey holes and things but also John being so confused by no drive ins


dave actually being upset about the drive ins as well bc that became like their spot, or well one of their many spots

John trying his best but he always has an ipod with Daves music. Also imagine the difference in school learning shit


part of john actually understanding but its just to much all at once so he had a few breakdowns and burnouts

yesss John just letting himself stand really close to Dave for the longest and then slowly holding like his pinkie or something but drops it when someone walks by for awhile


dave going with it as john needs too, not pushing him to be more open until hes ready. but theyre really close when at home


yes! John being super cuddly and close at home and just apologizing for being so closed off outside
