Youka berwujud benda dikenal dengan istilah Tsukumogami (付喪神)
Tsukumogami ini awalnya sebuah benda yang telah digunakan hampir 100 tahun dan dirasuki oleh Yaoyorazu no Kami.
Yaoyorazu no Kami adalah penyebutan 8 juta dewa di dalam ajaran agama Shinto).
Dalam beberapa hal, Tsukumogami terbentuk oleh sebuah perasaan cinta dan hormat sesorang. Kemudian melempar benda tersebut kepembuangan.
Itulah mengapa mereka dapat hidup dan memiliki kesadaran layaknya manusia.
Salah satu contohnya : Bura-bura.
Contoh lainnya : Bake-zori, Biwa-bokuboku, Kameosa, Kara-kasa, Mokumoku Ren, Seto Taisho, Menreiki, dan masih banyak lagi.

Obake (お化け) atau bakemono (化け物) adalah mahluk yang merasuki hewan atau bisa jadi mahluk yang berupa hewan yang bisa berubah bentuk menyerupai peranakan hewan itu sendiri dan bahkan bentuk manusia.
Istilah bakemono umumnya dipakai untuk makhluk hidup atau makhluk supranatural yang dapat melakukan transformasi untuk sementara.
Contohnya :
Obake berbentuk hewan : rubah (kitsune), anjing rakun (tanuki), musang(mujina), kucing yang dapat mengubah bentuk (bakeneko)
Obake yang menyamar sebagai manusia : Hitotsume-kozō, ōnyūdō, atau makhluk berwajah datar tanpa mata, hidung, dan mulut (noppera-bō)
