While we know that computer hardware once purchased is 6 months out of date, there have been no upgrades to computers in the Philippines for well over 5 years other than replacement monitors and power supplies when something failed. The equipment transferred from the Thai office is less out of date but still has memory issues.

For the PHP Developers this means numerous reboots of the computer as it locks/freezes and the inability to effectively multitask. For the C# .Net team the hardware in place goes to the infamous "blue screen of death" and when functioning "well" debugging or switching between code bases is worse than watching paint dry. Paint dries much faster.... Changing out CPUs alone won't resolve this as the motherboards can't support the new CPUs - this gives you an idea of the age of these systems. This means significant lost productivity. For the designers, along with lockups and freezes they can't even load online versions of Adobe Studio without freezing their machines which reduces their ability to respond to client requests for changes since they can't (quickly or otherwise) see what the client has submitted to them.

To resolve this upgrades to all hardware is required as soon as fiscally responsible. The attached Purchase Order is broken down into hardware requirements by team (.Net, PHP, Design) and includes licensing requirements so that MultiSoft is no liable for any software misuse. Lastly it includes furniture needs in order to support additional PHP staff and Sales staff in the Philippines Office.
