Pemeliharaan Satwa Gaib adalah pelajaran yang membahas makhluk-makhluk gaib yang bersifat normal, ataupun berjenis dark.
Kementrian Sihir adalah bagian dati Departemen Pengaturan dan Pengawasan terhadap Satwa Gaib yang mengklasifikasikan satwa gaib kedalam tiga kelompok yang berbeda yaitu Beast, Being dan Spirit.
1. Beast merupakan hewan-hewan biasa dengan keunikan mereka, contohnya Phoenix, Erumpent dan juga Hippogriff.
2. being, satwa gaib yang memiliki kecerdasan yang cukup untuk memahami hukum-hukum komunitas magis seperti Centaur
3. spirit seperti namanya merupakan golongan roh-roh seperti hantu dan juga Banshee.
Satwa gaib juga dibagi kedalam tingkatan yang disebut KKM. Dimulai dari KKM X, sampai KKM XXXXX. Tergantung pada tingkat keganasan makhluknya.
