Jikoushokai biasa disebut juga dengan perkenalan.
Langkah-langkah:
1. Aisatsu atau salam. Aisatsu dibedakan sesuai dengan waktu pengucapan salam. Ada 'Ohayou gozaimasu' memiliki arti selamat pagi, 'Konnichiwa' yang memiliki arti selamat siang, dan 'Konbanwa' yang berarti selamat malam."
2. Hajimemashite atau perkenalkan.
3. Memperkenalkan diri anda. Ucapkanlah Watashi wa - (nama) - desu. Dan, agar lebih akrab, dapat dilengkapi dengan - (nama panggilan) - to yonde imasu.
4. 'Douzo yoroshiku onegai shimasu.'
Kalimat diatas adalah kalimat penutup Jikoushokai, yang memiliki arti 'senang berkenalan dengan anda'
Hiragana
adalah kosakata asli bahasa Jepang yang merupakan dasar di dalam bahasa Jepang. Dalam penulisannya, terdapat beberapa hal yang harus diperhatikan. Diantaranya:
1. SEI-ON
berupa kumpulan alfabet dasar Hiragana. Alfabet dasar Hiragana terdiri dari 5 huruf bunyi vokal yaitu A, I, U, E dan O dan 40 huruf yang merupakan konsonan yang digabungkan dengan vokal, selain itu Hiragana juga memiliki 1 huruf mati yaitu N. Jadi total huruf untuk hiragana Standar adalah 46 huruf, berikut ini adalah daftar Hiragana dasar.
2. DAKU-ON
berupa aksara ka, sa, ta, dan ha yang diberi tanda dua goresan di kanan atas, seperti tanda kutip (") atau dibaca tengteng. Fungsinya adalah untuk menebalkan bunyi hiragana standar.
3. HANDAKU-ON
berupa aksara ha, hi, hu/fu, he, dan ho yang diberi tanda bulat di kanan atas (°) atau maru kecil. Fungsinya, untuk mengubah huruf hiragana yang berawalan h dan f menjadi p.
