2. Label each epitube with its respective labels and your period and group #.
3. Transfer the corresponding reagents to their epitube. Order should be DI Water, 5x Buffer, DNA Sample, then the Restriction Enzyme.
4. Tap your epitubes and then spin them in the micro centrifuge for 5-8 seconds.
5. Take your epitubes to your lab table and let them rest overnight.
6. Add loading dye to every epitube remembering to change the tip every time.
7. Spin your epitubes in the micro centrifuge for 5-8 seconds.
8. Make sure your gel box lid is connected to the power supply. The power should be turned off.
9. Get your group's gel tray and lower the gates. Gently submerge the tray in the gel box.
10. Carefully remove the comb from the gel.
11. Load each well with 15 microliters of its respective sample.
12. Close the gel box and turn on the electricity current at 120 volts. Make sure bubbles are coming at the bottom of the box.
13. After 10-15 minutes, check to see whether the pigments have traveled. Turn off the electricity.
14. Take out the gel tray from the box and return it to your teacher.
15. Clean up all extra lab materials.
