(I am 22 year old male) Now, I don't know where to post this, because our mom wasn't exactly a narcissist, but still very abusive and at times physically abusive (mostly emotional though). I definitely remember her beating me more than a few times through the years. My birthdad was physically abusive as well, but they divorced when I was 2 and when I was around 5 or 6 my mom remarried to a fucking asshole. He's currently a 55 y/o manchild. Honestly, my mom and step dad deserve each other in terms of toxicity ha...

Anyway, my mom had my sister when I was 5. My sister is 17 now. I recently moved back in with parents after finishing college and am looking into work. My sister (let's just call her Olivia) and I have never really been that close for some reason since she was always a very shy and gentle kid. She's very smart though, and even when she was just 2 she knew to hide the things she had done wrong which lead to a lot of punishment from our mom especially. It seems like once she hit 7th grade something changed. She was suddenly getting into trouble constantly with her friends at the community center, never showed any remorse, just repeated it again even after beatings and groundings. I don't know much about her in high school, but here's what I know from when I came home in June, and also what my stepdad told me just to keep me updated.

Olivia sneaks out of the house very often, when she was 15 she had broken into a car, didn't steal anything, just broke into the car. Shattered windows. No idea what she was thinking or even wanted to do. Had to appear in court and everything, it was a massive mess and I am thankful for not having to be home for that. Olivia has gotten into multiple fights at school, been suspended 2 times, skips classes + gets an unholy amount of tardies, and it's rare for her to come home on time (3:30). It's amazing that she hasn't been sent to an alternative learning center yet, and somehow she is still passing all of her classes with a B+ as her lowest grade. I know for a fact she does drugs, as I found a small stash in her room literally yesterday (still on the fence on whether or not to snitch). She talks back to my mom, who is abusive and definitely no saint, but still, it's exhausting hearing all the useless threats being tossed around and arguments every single night. I don't remember Olivia ever crying except when my mom hits her, and I never see Olivia apologize for anything, just making roundabout excuses for apologies, twisting the truth around. Holy shit can she lie! Also, something troubling that just crossed my mind is she's horrible to the poor family dog. Always kicking the dog around when she's upset, hitting the dog's face :(

I was raised the exact same way as Olivia, with harsh beatings and a lot of verbal abuse (screaming, calling us retarded, useless failures, etc etc) But I think I came out pretty okay, I have severe anxiety, but I'm okay, better than Olivia at least. I just want to know if it's too late for help for her. I love her deeply, but god she's messed up, a delinquent, maybe not a sociopath but she's not all the way there, I don't know how to describe it.

TLDR: My sister is a drug-abusing delinquent at 17 years old, abuses our dog, and never shows real remorse, always lies, and I'm incredibly worried about her.
