Everybody who born in a "conservative" country can't denied that anytime said a discriminative commentary, because our culture teach us to think in this way, and many of us when we were young didn't know this thoughts and behaviors are discriminatives towards others and even towards ourselves, because our society make us think that this is normal.
So should we judge young people for say this? NO. We should to teach them that this is wrong and bring clarify to them, hoping they can to learn what is correct and what is wrong.
So should we judge people for wrong comments they made when they were young and ignorant? NO. Probably they didn't know it. And now after all they learned and changed.
I'm going to tell you a close example. ME. When I was young, I heard so many comments about what a woman should to do and what shouldn't. I wondered if what they said is correct or not, so I rejected some things but others I accepted as normal. And I said many discriminatory comments towards my own gender without realize. But luckily, I met good people who teach me I was wrong, so I realized what bad things I was doing, I rejected and deleted even the most little discriminatory thing inside my mind, inside me. I decided to be a better person and teach to all the people around me to not be like this.
So is correct to judge me for the wrong things I did in the past? No, I don't think so. Why can't we understand people can learn their comments and actions in the past were bad and change their mindset?
When people call them for this, they apologized and have since been known to have their lyrics reviewed by feminist professors before releasing a song.
I believe and hope they've been learned from their mistakes and now being better people who make songs with better lyrics and have a better mindset.
