Sinek’s view about why some organizations can inspire others is the more we do well for each other, the more we want to do well for each other, a leader's job is not to do the work for others, it's to help others figure out how to do it themselves, to get things done, and to succeed beyond what they thought possible, people don't buy what you do, they buy why you do it, there is a difference between listening and waiting for your turn to speak, and we follow those who lead, not for them, but for ourselves. And it's those who start with "why" that have the ability to inspire those around them or find others who inspire them. (Goodnet, 2015). There are five reasons why some leaders can inspire others is because it is important to start with why, have clarity, discipline and consistency, leaders need a following, communication is not about speaking, it’s about listening, and serving those who serve others (Manage Inbound, 2019). For why, how, and what goals, Sinek encourages people to start off with why by having personal goals, family and health goals, determine personal professional development goals, and set your business, career, and financial goals (Manage Inbound, 2019). The reason why it is important to have clarity is because it allows great leaders to be great leaders to articulate “WHY” their organization (Manage Inbound, 2019). Having discipline as a leader, comes with knowing how you will do things even though it conveys on having discipline to stay focused on the “WHY” to stay true to your values (Manage Inbound, 2019). Leaders need a following since they are good at motivating people to do what they have been asked (The Huffington Post, 2015). Some organizations are not inspiring since they don’t set goals or encourage positive vibes. Some leaders don’t inspire because they do not know how to set goals or provide vision to the future. From Sinek’s discussion about Apple, Martin Luther King, and the Wright brother’s success, I learned how they also asked why they did it.

One thing that I learned about myself is that I can create a technology company that is like Apple one day if I continue to work hard which I plan on doing. I might change my my way of thinking about pursuit of innovations in life is by asking myself why I want to do it and how I would create it before starting it.
