She was only a kid, of course. She knew that, knew that she was too young to make those kinds of decisions otherwise--but this, this was special. She wished her brother was here. Despite him being a few years her senior, he was always erady to pay attention to her, to spend time with his kid sister. It was probably one of the things that aided her along in her growing infatuation. Her mother sighed, amusement and a hint of weariness evident on her face. "Hon, for the last time, you know that family members can't get married. It's very cute that you love your brother, but you're just confused right now. I don't want you to get your feelings hurt." The girl's stomach knotted and she opened her mouth as if to attempt to further her case, though she knew it was useless. She wouldn't understand, not ever. But she didn't have to, she didn't even have to know. The only issue was her brother. He probably saw her as too young now, or maybe worse, he believed the things their mother said. It hurt to think that he would consider her infatuation wrong, immoral or ill-founded. But she was a good baby sister, and as their mother loved to parrot often, good things come to those who wait. Besides, in the meantime, she had their whole future to plan, and their entire lives to look forward to At the end of the day, she could also always indulge herself in what she had; he never made any protest at her climbing into his bed at night for a snuggle, even if her motivations were less than innocent. He also had yet to turn her down a game of house-although he did shut it down on occasion if their husband/wife play went outside of his comfort zone, as frustrating as that could get when she had managed to slip into the entrancement of the role, not that he understood quite yet the conviction in her tone when she muttered her little 'wifely' pet names for him during their sessions.
