Apex Legends New Map Concept
Hey guys Sethly here back with another apex legends video. I hope you guys are all having a fantastic day, today we are going to be covering some new apex legends map concepts. So as you guys probably already know, there was an announcement about a week and a half ago where the devs gave us and update on what we can expect for the future of apex legends. there was a lot of promising stuff in the announcement like a better battle pass for season 2, a new legend, a new weapon, as well as some map changes. When I read this I was very happy but I was also kind of dissapointed because I know Im not the only one that thinks a completely new map would be better than changes to Kings Canyon. However, if you guys don't already know, don't be dissapointed because it has already been confirmed that there will be a new map coming to apex eventually. But due to the fact that they said map changes for season 2, I think the soonest we could see a new map in apex would be season 3. I saw a lot of people had some really cool ideas for what the new map could have and I definetely agree with a lot of them. So first off, Kings Canyon is located in the outlands, a remote cluster of planets on the outer edges of the frontier, the place where titanfall took place. we know that their are many other arenas for the apex games, based off the lore of the Apex Legends universe, because technically season one is the 124th apex game. Kings canyon is an island one a planet somewhere in the outlands so based off this I think the next arena/map would 100% be located in the outlands or maybe even on the same planet as kings canyon. I was looking through reddit and I saw a lot of people talking about what they want for a new map and I agree with a lot of the opinions I saw on their. First off, there was a reddit post titled "Angel City would be an awesome addition to the map" You can check it out in the description. ANgel City is a fan favorite map from titanfall 1 and 2, with an urban setting like a futuristic city and I think if there would be an area on the map similar to angel city then it would be really cool and a change of pace compared to kings canyon. However I don't think the devs just putting angel city on kings canyon would work well because kings canyon is heavily desert/mountain terrain. Personally I think a new map with a more urban setting with cities similar to angel city or even a remake of angel city would be very cool if the terrain of the new map were more urban with forest type areas in between different points of interest on the map. Obviously a completely city based map wouldn't work because of all the different legend abilities so having a map with different urban settings like titanfall's angel city, airbase, corporate, fracture and rise, with maybe even a wrecked ship from relic crashed into the map would be cool and a good contrast to kings canyon. I also think many of these urban places on the map would be cool if they were run down as if it were supposed to be an island replica of planets and places from the frontier but it was run down and repurposed as an arena for the apex games. So I think an urban map with different cities and taller building but abandoned and rundown, with forest terrain in between cities would be awesome. I think a map like that would be very good for a futuristic universe like the titanfall/apex universe. Ill show on screen a piece of art I found that looks like what I am imagining but with with more of a futuristic/titanfall theme to the cities (Link in the description to the original creator of this art) .
