APPEARANCE

Though Anna is still growing up, she still seems to bear resemblance to her siblings already due to her already long years with practicing swimming. Despite this, she still is smaller then the average kid her age and she is a bit on the skinny side- though hasn't really gotten the chance to develop a whole lot of muscle as of yet, though if she continues on the path she's going it seems like she'll go that way.

Her hair is chopped off at the chin to create a bob- mostly since longer hair would get in the way of both her reading and swimming. It's darker in color. She wears large glasses- they aren't prescription, and she only got them due to her old ones breaking while with her former foster family. She usually puts a headband in if she wants to push back her bangs but nothing else really.

Anna usually tends to not really go with a true "style", usually wearing the t-shirts she obtained over the years from her swim team, jean shorts, or flip flops. She doesn't seem too worried about any of this stuff either, since none of it has really concerned her before. She usually wears plain suits- which sometimes are a bit too small on her due to years of wear- though her favorite one is her full body one. Even wears shorts in the winter since she doesn't care.

PERSONALITY

Even from first appearances, it's quite obvious Anna is a bit of an odd child. Quiet, blunt, and not quite fitting what a typical Poseidon poster child would be like. She doesn't seem to be the best with social cues- often being awkward and obviously feeling awkward around those her own age- and not seeming to really understand more sarcastic remarks and taking things literally, and having a serious and cut and dry attitude. She tends to sort of stare intensely at others, as she thinks this is "eye contact", with a very mature attitude to boot despite her young age. Her moods can also tend to fluctuate a lot and she can get upset if pushed fairly easily, sort of breaking her seemingly mature attitude. These moods can sometimes show an outburst, which can lead to nearby pipes exploding due to water pressure or something else happening, which she doesn't seem to do intentionally, this happening more-so from lack of experience with training.

Her own passions seem to open up a bit more when people seem to prod into her intellect a bit more- especially with what she's interested in. She enjoys any sort of reading- seeming more like an Athena child at times when she's curled up with a large book- and has quite the expanded vocabulary she's proud of. But, despite her intelligence, she seems to have a large interest regarding ocean life- able to list off facts about sea turtles off the top of her head and being able to have more normal conversations with fish more then actual people. She is very passionate about a lot of the problems affecting the world's oceans, and the few moment's she's actually willing to be social is to be trying to convince people to sign a petition. She's incredibly stubborn in her ways and when she sees something is wrong, she seems ultimately willing to speak up.

She also seems quite reserved about her past, especially what happened during her foster homes. When she gets in trouble, she gets incredibly worked up about it as she thinks she has to be sent back in foster care. She also seems to recognize monsters but tries her best to just not acknowledge or talk about them.

POWERS AND EQUIPMENT

Weapons: So far, Anna has obtained no sort of weapon. She also doesn't seem to have any sort of interest in a specific type of one, either- though has no experience in anything either, expect with a bow and arrow when she went to summer camp a few times when she was younger, though it's only passing knowledge.

Powers:
Passive Aquatic Lordship: Like all children of Poseidon, Anna seems to have a (limited) control of sea life. She seems to already be aware of this ability, somewhat, and has been knowledgeable of it for a long time- as she usually converses with underwater life as if it were a normal conversation on her part, and due to her young age, she seems to think that this is a somewhat normal thing. She probably wouldn't actually ask the fish of anything- she's just more interested in conversing with them.

Hydrokinesis: One of Anna's more notable abilities. Though she seems to be a bit powerful in this area, this comes with an unfortunate price due to lack of training. She doesn't seem to have much of a grip on controlling it at all, and if she has outbursts, Anna can tend to accidentally splash herself and anyone in the immediate area due to a suddenly large wave, or due to pipes bursting. Perhaps, she could do better if she learned how to control smaller dosages of water though and built it up over time. This seems to have also gotten her into trouble several times in the past.

Minor Storm Generation: Something Anna isn't aware of- at least, yet. A power which she can only summon when there's already a storm- or at least, a making of one- and literally drains the energy directly out of her afterwards. She can summon her own mini hurricane similar to what Percy Jackson did- if being energized enough beforehand- though bigger storms such as that would zap it all out of her completely and cause her to pass out, even if the storm is on a smaller scale. She can also use the power of a pre existing storm and sort of make part of it her own controlled mini storm, though once again, this can only happen if she already is powered up enough already.

Water Battle Prowess: Anna already has sort of "used" this power in the practice- mostly the speed part for her swimming. While touching water, even when she's absolutely exhausted, she can use this as a temporarily surge of energy for herself. This surge of energy can be used so she could use one of her big boy powers, and this can be a bit of a cheat if it's raining or if she's damp. Though, if a body of water or something is not touching her, damp clothes and rain don't seem to completely surge her through with energy like it does with larger bodies.

BACKSTORY

Though Anna is too young to even remember her mother nor the story of how she had met her father, the two met several years ago. Jasmine Cruz was a college drop out and a regular disappointment to her family, and had a strained relationship because of this- she was actually secretly attempting to go to a different career path, despite her father trying to control her and push her elsewhere, though Jasmine seemed quite frustrated with this and began to do something else in secret. When she was found out, her family ultimately cut off any sort of income flowing to her, causing Jasmine to drop out shortly after. She began to become a regular at protests about protecting sea life and was also a beach goer, usually staying with friend to friend- some point in time during this, she met Poseidon. The two hit it off fairly easy due to their similar personalities, though seemed also clashed due to their own stubbornness- she dated him for a short amount of time until she got pregnant, in which Poseidon revealed his true identity shortly afterwards. Not seeming to believe him, Jasmine refused any help in which meant that could protect her and her future daughter from monsters and took up a full time job to support the both of them on her own, in a lonely, broken down apartment.

Despite the circumstances, Jasmine seemed to have adored her daughter- she'd take her practically everywhere with her, even to protests she would attend in her free time, and looked forward to try to give her daughter a bright future she couldn't have... Though that shortly changed.

After putting her 2 year old daughter to sleep, the apartment was broken into easily by a small gang of monsters- Jasmine probably wouldn't have recognized them as such but still died protecting her daughter, managing to barricade her bedroom door with a bookshelf before attempting to defend herself. The monsters managed to escape without Anna and the police arrived shortly afterwards- finding Jasmine dismembered in a pool of blood, and her daughter still managing to sleep peacefully despite all of this. They attempted to convince her mother's family to take her in though they all declined- her parents refusing out of stubbornness, others sharing the same stubbornness and some sharing that what had happened to Jasmine would happen to them.

Unfortunately, due to this, Anna was exposed to the foster care system from a young age and due to not exactly having the situation explained to her, still believes her mother is alive and well. She was bounced from foster home to foster home- which was unusual enough, due to her being quite the poster child to place in your family. She always had above average intelligence and managed to skip a grade because of this, and seemed to also have a talent in swimming as well- and due to her also being Vietnamese, many would have just wanted her in their family for brownie points, even with her additional quirks.

But, despite this, she seemed to always noticed the monsters sometimes following her. She at first began to freak out about them- always pointing out the "bad man with one eye" or whatever else she saw to her foster parents, who believed she was just living a fantasy. These sightings were only once every other month or so and usually just one monster, but it still seemed to freak her out- even once beginning to think they were in her closet and under her bed, causing her to have nightmares and seems to suffer from these terrors occasionally when she's older. She learned not to respond to them over time and just tried her best to not acknowledge them- though, her powers began to pick up when she was around 8 or so. One of her foster parents reported she somehow managed to ruin their house with water due to pipes bursting from pressure- though not saying this was due to their own fault- and once managing to completely blow up a toilet due to this.

Despite her lifestyle, it seems that Anna always felt connected to the ocean itself- unintentionally through both of her parents, despite not knowing either of them. She grew impassioned with sea life and the ocean from a young age, and though not being as enthused when going to visit a local amusement park or elsewhere, seemed to glow up when she gets the chance to see an aquarium or visit the beach. She grew impassioned with swimming from a young age as well and won awards throughout the years for it- seeming to suddenly grow more enhanced with speed and strength during this period, and managing to quickly wear down enemies.

She was fortunate enough to get a decent family her final time around until she was picked up by a satyr- who she seemed to just believe with surprising ease, and even agreed to go with him as long as she could bring her stuff.

I wish to propose my character as a child of Poseidon since I feel that he, as a god, would fit in best with the backstory I have planned out for her. Her powers would probably would be at her best if she were aligned with the most powerful sea god and if she were the child of a minor sea god, her backstory of noting monsters would not have worked out as well due to monsters probably not even noting her due to her not being as worthwhile of a treat. I tried my best with what I have wrote out so far, and hope it appeals to you all.
