1. Pokemon adalah hewan peliharaan yang berfungsi membantu kita saat duel. Pokemon dibagi menjadi beberapa jenis, yaitu : Api, air, tumbuhan/rumput, listrik, psychic, es, naga, dark, peri, normal, petarung, terbang, beracun, tanah, batu, serangga, hantu, dan steel. Sedangkan pokemon yang ada di Mahou adalah api (kitsunebi), air (mizuchi), tanah (kukan), petarung (Tsuchi), dan serangga (kaze).
2. Bertemu para pokemon Air di Mizuchi
Hari ini cuaca sangat panas. Terik matahari membuat tubuh menjadi gerah seketika. Ayuka terduduk lemas di bangku taman. Memutar otak mencari tempat - tempat yang bisa membuatnya segar di Mahoutokoro. Ia sangat ingat, di dekat dorm Mizuchi terdapat sebuah kolam alami. Ia memutuskan untuk pergi kesana.
Sesampainya di kolam dekat dorm Mizuchi, Ayuka langsung melepaskan alas kakinya dan mencuci wajahnya disana. “Ahh.. Segarnya,” ujar Ayuka. Lalu merendamkan kaki disana.
Beberapa kemudian munculah makhluk - makhluk asing yang mendekati dirinya. Ya, itu adalah pokemon air. Berdasarkan buku yang ia baca, disana ada Squirtle, Poliwrath, Croconaw, da lain-lain. Ayuka memperkenalkan diri dengan ramah, meskipun ia tidak yakin para pokemon memahaminua atau tidak. Setelah itu Ayuka bermain dengan beberapa pokemon yang masih mau mendekati dirinya.
