Students are REQUIRED to document their clinical exposure in the GPC log posted on E-Value. The clinical exposure should optimally be direct patient care in which you are evaluating and managing the specific diagnosis/symptoms in a patient. If you do not see a patient with any of the listed diagnoses/symptoms, you will receive alternative experience exposures (during Wednesday didactic sessions or through CLIPP modules). You will need to record these alternative exposures in E-Value (click alternative exposures). Logs will be reviewed by the clerkship director/coordinator on a weekly basis and will be reviewed with the student on the third week of the rotation. This is done to monitor progress and, if necessary, arrange for additional clinical experiences or web-based cases. Failure to complete the log in which you have entered either patient or alternative exposure for each diagnosis/symptom may result in a reduction in the final grade and/or an incomplete grade for the clerkship.
