Why I'm voting for Brent Granby and you should too...
I've gotten to know Brent through our shared connection to the West End and progressive politics in Vancouver.
More so than any of the great candidates running I see in Brent a deep and proven commitment to making Vancouver a truly livable community and one in which everyone is welcome.
Brent is an active supporter of cycling in Vancouver; he has been a vocal advocate for more homeless shelters in our communities; he was instrumental in the improvement of Nelson Park and other public spaces. Brent spearheaded a community garden project on the rooftop of St. Paul’s Hospital that is intercultural and intergenerational – and is really a beautiful place we can all now experience.

Brent has raised his two daughters in Vancouver with his wonderful wife Anita – biking with the girls to/from school and teaching them about the importance of standing up for what they believe in.
Bottom line: Brent is smart, progressive, he knows the issues and he cares deeply about Vancouver and the people who live here. We need him on the Vancouver Parks Board.
I hope you will vote for him at today’s Vision Vancouver nomination meeting.
Voting takes place this Wed June 18 2pm-9pm at the Vision Vancouver office 326 W 5th Avenue and again on Sat June 22 9am-6pm.
