Enam Tipe Hatsu.

Hatsu merupakan cerminan dari seseorang karena tiap orang memiliki tingkat penguasaan teknik yang berbeda. Orang yang memiliki tingkat penguasaan 100% terhadap salah satu teknik dikatakan memiliki tipe nen yang merupakan teknik nen tersebut. Dan tiap orang hanya bisa menguasai satu teknik hingga 100%.
Hatsu dibagi menjadi 6 teknik yaitu:
Kyouka
Henka
Gugenka
Sousa
Houshutsu
Tokushitsu
Dengan menggunakan salah satu atau lebih teknik tersebut, seseorang dapat membuat suatu kemampuan/jurus nen tertentu.
Bagaimana cara mencari tahu teknik yang sesuai dengan diri kita?
- Water Divination (水見式, Mizumishiki) adalah cara umum atau populer digunakan untuk mendeteksi tipe teknik nen kita. Bahan yang dibutuhkan hanyalah sebuah daun dan segelas air.
Cara:
• Letakkan daun di atas permukaan air pada sebuah gelas.
• Letakkan tangan di antara gelas, seolah seperti akan memegang gelas, tetapi tidak menyentuh gelas sama sekali.
• Gunakan Ren pada kedua tangan dan tunggu hasilnya.
Hasil:
• Jika volume air berubah (bertambah), hasilnya adalah Kyouka (Enhancer).
• Jika rasa dari air tersebut berubah, hasilnya adalah Henka (Transmitter).
• Jika air menjadi kotor, hasilnya adalah Gugenka (Conjurer).
• Jika warna dari air berubah, hasilnya adalah Sousa (Manipulator).
• Jika daun pada permukaan air bergerak, hasilnya adalah Houshutsu (Emitter).
• Jika kelima hal tadi terjadi secara bergantian, hasilnya adalah Tokushitsu (Specialist).
