Thank you for communicating with me. I'm not very experienced with the art community online and I don't draw digitally a lot either, so I was trying to experiment and make a new simple style. I had seen pantec's chibis in the forums and I took elements which I liked from her, making sure that I don't make things look too similar. I didn't see your shop nor did I know that her chibis look like yours. I had thought that what I did was okay, but thank you for letting me know that it is frowned upon. I understand where you are coming from, and the similarity between my chibis and yours, especially the eyes, are indeed uncanny. Whether it was intentional or not, I most likely was influenced by your art. I am also very concerned with this as I am only online to take a break from real life stress, and I don't want any trouble. I believe you are too.

I have looked at your tumblr and there are a lot of helpful tips on fundamentally improving my art. I will refer to those and other tutorials online instead of trying to copy elements from other artists. Thank you very much for sharing. I still consider myself fairly new to this so your blog is extremely helpful. Again, I am very thankful that you have decided to communicate in person with me and tell me this because otherwise, I would have not been able to get the message as easily and feel really defensive.
