DELTARUNE - THINGS WE KNOW
- "Your choices don't matter." The entire game is revolved around this quote, from the vessel, to either a 'pacifist' or 'genocide' run, to the eventual posession by chara.
- The "don't forget" in UT is reffering to our heroes in DR - Seen by the ending song and the file name
- Kris is not a human - he is a vessel for a human soul
- DR takes place on an alternate timeline. Sans is new in town, asriel is alive, undyne doesn't know alphys and had both eyes
- Gaster is the one talking to you during the intro. yes, speech patterns sure, but also the song sped up is gaster's theme. Also, if you type Gastere's name into the vessel, the game crashes. Anyone else's name (except frisk or chara) as well as a few others results in the comment of an interesting coincidence.
- "Entey Number 17" plays twice throughout the game - once when you call the cell phone in the dark world, and another beside the old door, only slower. This makes us assume that Gaster is connected to the Dark World somehow. maybe even put us there.
- Noelle, the raindeer girl, and her dad, talk a lot about death. I suspect foreshadowing.
- DR makes a lot of connections to christmas, both directly and indirectly. This could be referring to the chapter 2 release date.
- there's a possibility that the dark world is the counterpart to the Underground from UT, or the light. This is further supported by our theme, "your choices don't matter". UT was all about choice, pacifist or genocide, different endings, etc. DR gives you none of that. One ending, no differences, no meaningful choices.
The cage in the wagon has the description that it's seen quite a few crashes, as well as a red stain, possibly blood, on the wagon. This leads to the assumption that CHARA THROWING THE SOUL IN THE CAGE HAS HAPPENED MORE THAN ONCE.
- The entirety of DR is most likely planned out. The site was active way back in Dec. 2015, and has been dropping hints randomly. Not what we know that at least Chapert 1 was thought out, it leads us to believe the other chapters are as well.
- We are still unsure about how the universe of DR itself came to be. The most popular theories are that this is an alternate continuation of a soulless pacifist route, the dimension was forged by Gaster himself, or that this is one of the "worlds" Chara mentions at the end of UT Genocide.
- The actual reality of the dark world is left up to interpretation. There's arguments for it being real and it being fake. The actual answer doesn't matter too much right now. but it most likely will in the future.
- the warning of seizures wasn't referring to epilepsy at all. It was referring to Kris' eventual possession, or SEIZE, by Chara.
- DR's file is called "SURVEY_PROGRAM". While this could be referring to the quiz at the start, it most likely means the other definition of Survey, to record information about a new area or domain. Thus, the purpose of DR itself could be to explore a new world.
- After Chara rips out the soul and throws it into the cage, the player is still able to move the heart using WASD. This confirms that you were not playing as "Kris" at all- you were playing as the soul inside them.
- Seam, most notably, is aware of the save/load mechanic when he talks about darker yet darker. He is aware that everything is futile, and that the fountain will eventually be destroyed.
- The game is all but confirmed to be an alternate sequel to UT - all the characters are older, the two nights are still together, gerson is dead.
- The world of DR seems to have humans and monsters, while both on the surface, segregated from each other.
- Everyone in the overworld comments on how different Kris is acting today. This suggests that you, the player, control Kris' body throughout DR. Without the soul controlling him, without good emotions, he becomes what he was meant to be, a vessel, but for the right person this time.
