there are multiple ways to communicate with your line managers, colleagues and customers such as using the phone, emails, face to face conversation and by forms but when it comes to communicating with customers the correct body language and politeness is required and being able to listen and understand their needs.

to ensure that the work is carried out correctly communication is important to allow this to happen therefore being able to communicate with your staff on site with job sheets and the expectation from it and also time lines to help assist so the work can be completed on time. also site meetings and method statements assist with communication and achieving productivity.

using resources for own and other’s work requirements- its important to be organised and so that the work is planned and carried out correctly and efficiently.

allocating appropriate work to employees- by measuring out the time frame of the job in hand its important so you know what material and tools are required so you can get the right amount of material and not be short or waste any access material.

organizing the work sequence- reducing carbon emissions- the site foreman should have an understanding of the staff knowledge so they can allocate them to the right role but its important to communicate with the foreman if you feel like the job may need more staff and also there should be no delays on material ordering the right quantity is important to help minimize waste on site.

by doing the simple things as in turning off tools when not in use and correctly measuring the right length or width of material so you wont have as much waste can help the zero/low carbon

job cards- having job cards assist in organizations by allowing to give out the right information such as setting expectations and requirements.
worksheets- its important to achieve and complete the task at the allocated date that was set out and clearly signed off.
material/resource lists- beforehand going into the job you should have a list of the quantity is needed of material so the right amount can be ordered so there wont be any delays on the job.
time sheet- by filling out the time sheet clearly and correctly it will allow employees to get paid the correct amount for the hours they have worked.

Explain the reasons for ensuring documentation is completed clearly and within given timescales.
its important to complete the documentation so that the job can run safely and smoothly with no faults also its the site manager should have an eye on the progress of the job in hand.

individuals- by communicating with individuals with the right information and the expectations of the job.
customers and operative- you can send emails which may contain the plans, pictures and drawings to help have a good relationship with your customers. you can even have a site meeting with them.
operative and line management- having a consistent and regular site update can help maintain a good working relationship and their expectations of the job.
own and other occupation- to understand each and everyone skills within the profession you are in which helps to have a good solid working relationship

- It is important to work effectively with line managers, with your colleagues and customers to ensure expectations are met and that the job is completed within set timescales.

-Working relationships have an effect on productivity as a poor relationships can slow down the progress which cause inaccurate completion of jobs and unhappy customers therefore leads to poor communication with employees.

- Everyone should be treated fairly so when it comes to principles of equality and diversity, when communicating and working with others can be achieved by getting to know the employees and their background, skills and personal requirements.
