I think that I spend so much of my time on social media that it prevents me from getting what I need to get done - done. I hate the fact that I feel like my phone is driving my actions and hindering me from progression in all aspects of my life. All we do on social media is tap tap tap, scroll, like this, share that. But what do we really need these things for? They're pointless in retrospect. If I want to message a friend, I can easily do so through the regular messaging app in my phone. The ones that want to reach out to me will. I don't feel like sharing aspects of my life to dozens of people who I don't even talk to, it's a waste of time. I also think social media is riddled with negativity and people are purely drawn by controversy and shock material. In real life, I would normally walk away from toxic shit like that, so I feel like I should also do it, even if it's online.

To summarize, I want to focus on work. I want to focus on bettering myself. Social media is preventing me from doing that. It's full of negativity and bullshit, and I want to stay away from it for some time and focus on myself.
