Comparing the elite to the v2 there is defenenitly a change in terms of build quality Siberia elite has a metal headband instead of plastic but it still has the same Siberia v2 iconic look and feel. The elite are very comfortable with large and plush leather ear cups but they are not comfortable for long periods of time as your ears will get sore and red.
On the right ear cup you can control the volume and at the bottom of the right ear cup is a 3.5mm jack so if someone wants listen to what your listening to then they can plug in their headset. On the left ear cup is a microphone mute switch if its muted the microphone will illuminate also on the left ear cup is the noise cancelling retractable microphone speaking about the microphone I was very disappointed in how it sounds and I was excepting more for the price. steelseries advertise the microphone to be flexible but sadly it isn't when I try to move it one way it goes back to its original place which is very disappointing.
Illumination is one of the coolest features of the Siberia elite you can change the illumination to any color you like but the headset when plugged in using the steelseries connector into the sound card.
talking about the steelseries connector you can either connect it to the microphone headphone splitter the 90 degree jack and if the steelseries anti tangle cord is too short steelseries does provide an extension cord.
