Good afternoon guys;
I’ll start off with a tiny summary of the coming 4 days. So this is basically a combination of 2 conferences, which will be held from the 18th - 21st of nov. On the first day, there’ll be registration in al razi hall for everyone (supposedly covered by pharmacy students). After it, people will start being distributed all over the 4 different buildings. This congress will include sessions/workshops in 4 different buildings during the 1st 3 days with lunch and coffee breaks in all 3 days. Lunch will always be in al razi hall and each building will have a coffee break in its own. The lunch will be at 1:00 till 2:30 pm. Back to the sessions, the sessions will be parallel, Y3ni basically you’ll have more than one session (of different topics) being held at the same time. They will be all over the 4 buildings (m23, m27, m28, m31). There will be some ushers inside each session/workshop (that’s mainly covered by the dentistry students) these students will help with the technical stuff basically. Anyways, our jobs as ushers will be outside the workshop/lecture rooms. We will be in the building helping anyone who’s lost and wants to shift from a building to another (hence we need to know where/when all different sessions are held). I will send the scientific program, please take a look at the days you’re volunteering in and get yourself familiar with the sessions timings/locations.
So just as a summary of what’s expected of us:
*Ushers:* be there 15 mins before your shift. During/after the sessions, if any of the participants is lost or needs to go to another building we help them. Halla2 what they told me is to basically “escort” the participants between different buildings. You could either gather all those that want to go to the same building and take them at once, or just explain clearly how they can get there.
- morning shift: be there at 9 (again double check the scientific program as different days start at different timings, so if it starts at 11 then don’t come at 9 of course)
- Afternoon shift: be there by 2:15 please
- Sunday volunteers: you’ll have to be in al razi hall first since you’ll have to usher the participants from there to the building that you’re going to.
*Lunch volunteers:* be there in al razi hall, 15-20 mins before 1, and you’ll have to check if each participants has the access for lunch or not (as not every participant will have access, only those that paid for it apparently). I am waiting for the lady to send me the exact “access” that we’ll have to look for during the lunch, but it’ll most probably be something in their badge so just keep that in mind.
*Dress code: * navy blue and white or black and white.
