I, Clexi started my life as a garden gnome. Being a garden gnome isn’t easy you know? People think you’re creepy looking, always a fixated smile and never moving. That’s a skill I bet you guys couldn’t do for upwards of twenty-two hours a day, could you? Don’t get me started on lawnmowers now, a thing five times bigger than you with blades that can easily kill you?? Yeah, laugh it off and tell that to my three missing toes! But people underestimate us gnomes. They underestimate me. I knew my life had more to it that standing in a human’s garden all hours of the day for ‘decoration.’ I knew I had a better purpose than that. I would see the huge oak trees and beautiful animals and know that that was my destiny! But how was I to not be noticed by the ugly humans that had nought better to do with me than watch as rain, snow, hail, wind, and storms battered down upon me? I decided to escape. I wanted to get away from days of standing until lactic acid filled my arms and legs. Done was I with nothing to look forward to but the blazing summer days ending. I escaped on a stormy winter night, as the humans, nor the ‘established, esteemed’ garden gnomes that would surely kill and dispose of me if they saw me fleeing, would see. In a windy rouse, I gathered myself and ran as fast as a (less than) three foot tall gnome could. I ran through the forest, never looking back to see if any of the others had noticed, to see if any of the humans or others that may oppose my leaving had seen my abscond. I was free and no longer a servant to the humans. I made it through the forest after a week in the cold with nothing but a stupid red dunce hat on my head, the Light called upon me to tell me that I had done the right thing and give me my mission. Though I did not hear it say anything, I knew that someone... something wanted me to show that no matter what, life and nature are always with you. I now roam the mountains, deserts, jungles, and anywhere that calls upon me to bring life and nature back into them. I listen to the Light, as it flows through me like a fish through the ocean.
