Every year there are many festivals around the world.The best known ones are summarized below.

1. Rio de Janeiro Carnival

2. Chinese New Year

The Chinese New Year is a spectacular festival celebrated by the Chinese. However, both in many parts of the world and in the Chinese ring. The celebration also known as Spring Festival are spring. In China, schools and businesses close to China's New Year in the first few days, and almost everyone spends time with their families.

During the Chinese New Year, people prepare delicious traditional dishes like noodle soup, which is believed to bring luck.

People wear traditional clothes and participate in the parade and entertainment shows

There's a lot of fireworks. The light and sound emitted by fireworks are believed to frighten the evil spirits.

Adults give children red envelopes with money.

Chinese New Year celebrations take two weeks. The Chinese New Year celebration ends at the Lantern Festival held at the end of two weeks.

3. Boryeong Mud Festival - South Korea


The centre of cosmetics and cosmetic surgeries, South Korea's festival was started by a cosmetic company that aimed to promote mud as a skin care product. This event has turned to a tradition and has been celebrated by people since then.


4. Burning Man - Nevada, USA


It is a traditional rock concert that is held in the deserts of Nevada. Each year approximately 48.000 people meet and celebrate the event. Of course, it has so much fire related shows in it. 


5. White Nights Festival - St.Petersburg, Russia


It is an annual event that involves many artistic performances such as ballet, opera, music and much more. The estimated number of people who attend to this event is around 1 million. 


6. Dia de los muertos (Day of the Dead) - Mexico


This is a different kind of holiday as far as the theme is concerned. The people in Mexico come together, pray for their relatives, friends and people who knew, who passed away. The tradition also involves gift-sharing and beverage-drinking ceremonies.
