World War I began in 1914, after the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, and lasted until 1918. Two types of stone are used at Stonehenge: the larger sarsens, and the smaller bluestones. There are 83 stones in total.
The largest stone, the Heel Stone, weighs about 30 tons.
