Otabek doesn't smell mated.

Normally, this would cause problems for him by attracting the unwanted attention of the unmated Alphas who wander the city, but strangely enough, it's the one thing that puts him in the most danger that also acts as his saving grace.

Her name is Aru, and she's his younger sister.

People assume, because of the dark hair and eyes, their identical stoic expressions, their matching calm temperaments, that she is his daughter, so while it proves that he is fertile, making him desirable, it also makes people wonder if he has an Alpha if not a bond, which keeps people away.

It's a fine line he walks.

Otabek is a young Omega living on the streets with his little sister Aru, stealing to keep them both fed and fighting to keep Alphas away. One day he meets an exotic boy with pale, pale skin, blue eyes, and bright yellow hair, and for a day, they become friends. Otabek figures that this person isn't the prince, even though he looks like it, because this boy is too young to be the prince, and also because the prince is said to be vapid, friendly, and silver-haired, and this boy is not.

Eventually Otabek is arrested by the guards and thrown in jail while his sister is taken to an orphanage, and discovers that the boy is Prince Viktor's younger brother. Otabek meets a man named yuuri who works at the palace. Yuuri tells him of the cave of wonders and helps him escape, so Otabek goes and meets a genie named JJ, who's obnoxious but helpful.

Otabek's first priority is his younger sister, but JJ convinces him to search for love, too, so Otabek disguises himself as an alluring Omega prince from a neighboring kingdom, and he goes to court the young prince Yuri. It's a change, since people usually go after Viktor (unaware that Viktor is in love with Yuuri, the court sorcerer) and Yuri is thrown off guard and gets defensive.

Slowly but surely, Yuri and Otabek fall in love, while the genie gives daily reports of Aru's condition to Otabek. She's upset and lonely, but fine.
