Move it out of the Preferences folder.
Launch iMovie. It should rebuild the Events Library, iPhoto thumbnails, etcs. And your Projects will return.
2. Try File>Update Projects and Events and let it finish.
3. right click on Finder>Movies>iMovie Library.imovielibrary
