-* aladdin--> beauty and the beast

-* beauty and the beast--> tangled: tired of her quaint life, belle runs away to explore the world and becomes a renowned bounty hunter and adventurer. one day while searching for a garden of fabled magical roses, she comes across the garden in a castle that's inhabited by a boy named adam. he makes a deal with her: he will show her the magic rose if she takes him to the nearby capital city for a festival. she soon learns the truth: adam is the only one who can sing to the magic rose, and he is being held captive by an enchantress who use him for his magic. he's the lost prince.

- tangled--> aladdin: Flynn rider is a petty thief in the city of Corona. he is hired by an old woman to sneak into a tower and steal a magic golden flower, only to find that the flower is actually a girl with magical powers. for freeing her, she agrees to grant him three wishes (with limitations). his goal is to become rich, but along with fleeing from the old woman who ends up being a sorcerer and the regular city guards, he falls in love with her, and (as she told him she wanted) wishes for her to be human as his final wish so that they can be together.

-* little mermaid--> moana: prince eric grew up hearing stories about the merpeople, minor sea gods and goddesses who rule the sea. his favorite is the story of ariel, a princess whose voice was stolen by a sea witch called ursula. when a strange woman arrives at his kingdom to court him who eric is sure is ursula, he does the only thing he can: capture her and drag her onto the sea to return the voice to ariel. along the way, ursula talks in her sleep in ariel's voice and this way they get to know each other. they meet a lot of sea monsters and eric almost drowns multiple times, but he has his dog and ariel's knowedlge of the sea, so he eventually finds the whirpool ariel is trapped in. he breaks the seashell and frees ariel's voice, then kills ursula in self-defense, and he and ariel fall in love. she stays a princess of the sea and he eventually becomes king on land, but they marry and literally no one is willing to fuck with a sea goddess' husband.

- *mulan--> sleeping beauty: mulan is the disaster daughter of a renowned but retired general. In the background, news begins to spread of one of China's most affluent families still mourning for their lost son and heir (Shang). one day she runs away from home after a disastrous trip to the matchmaker's and ends up meeting three fairies in the woods (Chien Po, Yao, and Ling) who tell her of honor, should she wish to find it. There is a boy trapped in the depths of a mountain, and mulan might be able to save him. so she takes her father's sword and armor and goes. along the way, they train her to fight, so by the time she makes it to the mountain, she is prepared. shan yu is the demon general of an army of a thousand demons. with the fairies' help, she defeats him and the giant hawk he becomes and saves shang, who is trapped in a giant bird cage. on their way home, they fall in love. mulan becomes a national hero because it turns out shang is distantly related to the emperor. they marry.

- frozen--> brave: queen elsa is concerned when her sister anna gets engaged to prince hans. she goes to the trolls to ask for a way to break their love (their spell calls for her magic) and they come through. the only problem: anna freezes solid that night and revives in the morning. another trip to the trolls confirms it: anna's heart is slowly freezing. the only way to reverse the spell is to "mend the bond torn by pride". on their way home, they are escorted by kristoff, who slowly falls in love with anna, despite how anna slowly starts to become colder. the bond is olaf, who anna destroyed in her anger. elsa builds him up, anna gives him a heart, and he becomes their little snow brother person.
