But regardless of who told who what, I am still 3,000 miles across the country and you guys are asking me to be there in... the next hour and a half?

I was told by a certain faculty member last semester that Citizen Science is not a first-year requirement but is instead a graduation requirement, and that I would not be required to attend the program as a freshman, and might want to consider attending as a sophomore or a junior. I apologize for taking this advice, but I do feel that I was fed false information that I don't deserve to be held accountable for.

Of course I would like to be there- I wouldn't have chosen to go to Bard if I didn't want all I could get from it- it's just that I physically cannot attend the program. I am not well enough to just spend who knows how much on a ticket to New York, cancel doctors appointments and the like. My concern for my health does take precedence over my education, it does. There are mental and physical restrictions that keep me from doing such a thing like traveling across the country so suddenly.

I don't mean to point fingers at anybody, especially not at you because you've been very kind and helpful in the past few days, but the faculty of this program has really been incredible aggressive, just hounding me for information. I had a number of fairly rude people talk to me on the phone, I've had people hold back information from me when trying to pay my tuition... I get that it is your guys' jobs and you have to be on top of that kind of information, I get that, I really do, but man, I've had to jump through so many hoops just to get across to you guys' that it's so far out of my hands at this point.
