Notes

He (Kneori) was in a large school of magic and sorcery and the mystic arts. I came from gnome parents who lived a Hobbit like life in a Hobbit hole with friends and family. As soon as kneori could he went off, he had very little money but he entered a scholarship contest at the schools and was accepted into the artificer program where he enhanced his knowledge and abilities. Once he began experimentation with the other artificers he quickly discovered that there were certain ways to replicate and improve people like the constructs. He decided he would be the first of the group of artificers to test it out. He improved his chest as a request from those funding their project for the guards of his mighty palace. A few of the local nobles that we're under the thumb of the rich man found out about the capabilities and naturally they asked me to actually create the apparatus I had the blueprints for. I pretty much had to so I tested it out for myself. The end result worked and now I had the ability to cast a few spells using only the augmented hand. The nobles had me operate on a few of them as they had always aspired to be spell casters but didn't have the patience to study or genetics to. After a while of implanting the arcane hand I developed a lust for death. I murdered people in the expansive Acropolis. I didn't want to but I felt an extreme compulsion. Eventually I broke and told my friends in the artificer field what had happened (A gnome for alchemy and augmentation, a dwarf in constructs and construction and a half elf in gun construction). This of course happened to the nobles as well but little changed as they had people executed all the time. The rich man who funded the school had them under his thumb since they held such high positions in the [city/cities/world depending on how big you want this to be].
The rich man was a pretty nice guy himself, but the nobles he only has so much control over and he has to keep them satiated so they don't try to revolt. (I got way into the not specifically my story) Kneori was set asleep by a sorcerer named Thromar, and taken by the alchemist and the constructor to a small Hobbit hole in the middle of nowhere where he could live peacefully until he died. Obviously Kneori didn't stay there long. I was apparently in the middle of a 100 square mile completely uninhabited forest island. Apparently I wasn't completely alone because a human Outpost was on the island and the hunters that we're foraging for food shot me in the abdomen. I was discovered to be resilient to such a shot and eventually a noble put two and two together and sent an army to capture me. The noble had me create inventions to add to their arsenal and I did escape, but not before I gave them some of my ideas and inventions. I'm currently at large and the noble is trying to keep the issue far from the rich man as then he would receive punishment.So now I'm being pursued by a group of nobles who are trying to undermine a king with more righteous purposes while at the same time I'm mentally I'll to the point where I have a murder compulsion against my will.

Unfortunately the king was very weak in comparison to the might and strength of the nobles. There are six Nobles, each with about one fourth the power of the king. Noble-3, Noble-5, and Noble-6 were absolutely obsessed with gaining a mass of technological power, hoarding technology as in inventions buying them for a large amount of gold and then employing rogues to assassinate all who had ever had contact with the seller, inevitably taking back the relatively insignificant amount of gold. Noble-1 Engorged himself in a large amount of money and instituted tax and banks and loans to the other nobles, this noble gave lots of money to other prominent members of his circle however also took a lot of money from the others which did cause a lot of friction. Nobles-2/6 were interested in magic, amassing a wealth of magical items and knowledge. They had a lot of influence due to their great mass of wealth and history of murdering lots of people.
Noble-4 Was the most militaristic one. She was a strategist who had through many deals, bargains, successful fights and imprisoning and killing people had amassed a large army and a wealth of barracks across the map.
Noble-4 was far more destined to be powerful but noble-2 had been nearly as wise but not quite as much yet had been at the gaining wealth and power game for 100 years longer and was therefor the leader of the 6.

an important part of this story is why the noble 6 (who were hardly noble in any aspect) didn't attack and kill the king in a mutiny gaining a portion of his power through fear and his money through walking into his gold sites and taking his gold. A rather important part was that Noble-1 had written some notes that would cause even the most indoctrinated and oppressed people with no power to take hold of Noble-1 which would no doubt end in his murder and the diaspora of his objects (Noble-1's objects includes most of the others Nobles objects and power which is part of the agreement between them for Noble-1 to keep control of the items of the other nobles in exchange for the periodic loans and the collection of taxes and the interest on the items under his control. so inevitably if they killed the king the letters would be revealed and the first noble would be killed, the items removed entirely resulting in the near absolute decrease in power of the other nobles which would inevitably be their downfall. Instead of preventing this from happening they instead went ahead and killed the king at the cost of noble-1 being assassinated by some misinformed supporters of the king. as a result there was some doubts about the truth of the letters origin. as a result the first nobles warehouses and dungeons were only partly destroyed and Noble-4 and Noble-2 quickly used this opportunity to collect as many of their resources as possible but 4 finally outwitting 2 had discovered the very largest warehouse and she still had her great army but 2 had his assassins but before 2 could murder 4 2 himself was murdered by 4 with her superior strategy and militaristic power not to mention the huge and most unknown and significant. 2 was the most powerful but that didn't matter since they were already dead and 4 nearly double her sphere of influence and the others gained a small amount from 1. now was the noble 4 who had adopted 4 as their king. Immediately after this event 5 was also killed so that now 3/4/6 are the only that remain, making them the noble 3. The kingdom which was at its weakest it had ever been due to the revolts of the people with the power of the first noble and the new found vigor.
Also, the orcs have been restless for quite some time due to the volatile nature of orcs as well as the fact that they had been defeated quite some time ago and are seeking revenge. They make up about 1/4 of the largest continent, which is the continent the kingdom is on and a few of the surrounding islands, and are absolutely fearless and ruthless.


After Kneori failed to help the absolutely lovely king and had killed the 5th noble....... Perhaps after he had advanced his skill and ability in the artificer arts and he had become "a changed man" and became a bit of a cleric and got his dwarf friend and assembled an army and got the plebeians to fight along with the orcs who originally inhabited the continent which the other races had decided to take over many hundreds of years ago. As it is said, orcs are a vengeful people.
