One cloudy day, a girl was born in a small village. Her mother died while delivering her. Despite the baby's ivory skin and golden hair, her mother died with a look of horror on her face. The girl's father mourned in grief for days and couldn't look at his own daughter. The girl's beauty was undeniable, but her pitch black eyes were like dark clouds in a clear sky. Since the day of her birth the girl never spoke a word. She used to sit at her window and stare at people passing by. She would sit everyday, by the river and watch the sun drowning into the crystal water. The where she and her father lived started to look old, the plants started to die until there was not a single green leaf left. On the girl's sixteenth birthday her father died. That day, she never went to the river, the people of the village heard her screaming, it was the first time they had ever heard her voice. They heard things crashing, some thought the house was falling down. Suddenly, the voice was gone, the house was way too silent. Nobody dared to go check on the girl, they all just silently scattered to their houses. That day, midnight, the village was awakened by the now familiar screams. When some of them mustered up the courage to go and talk to the girl, they went out of their houses to see the girl's house being eaten by flames. The girl's screams would turn into growls, they would hear other people screaming inside even though it was just her. She would claw at the windows and stare at the people gathered around her house. She would look at every single one of them for help, none of them flinched. They all let the house burn to ashes. From that day on, whoever went near the river would hear beautiful singing, and enchanting voice that would pull them in towards the river, with every step they took the voice turned from dreamy singing to terrifying screams and growls, once they stepped foot in the water, she would pull them in with her, the water would feel like burning fire on their skin. They would try to scream and yell but no voice would come out, as if their lungs were hollow bags. "Scream," she would tell them. "Scream your heart out and give it to me."
