Harry closed the TV, laying down on his bed, unable to contain his excitement, for the next day, he was going to turn ten years old and start his own Pokémon journey. He thought to himself eagerly:
“I am Harry Lou, future Pokémon champion! Starting tomorrow, I will follow in the footsteps of my hero, Ash Ketchum, and receive my very first Pokémon from Professor Oak, taking the first step to becoming an amazing trainer!”
2:00 AM; Oak Laboratory
Professor Samuel Oak was a busy man. Day after day, he had to provide care for all the Pokémon the trainers had left behind (Dammit Ketchum! Half the Pokémon here are your goddamn Tauros!). He also wrote countless papers concerning the characteristics of various Pokémon. Oak had just finished writing an article on the fumes of a Weezing, and was ready to go to sleep when....
DINGDONGDINGDONGDINGDONG
“Eh? Who could it be this late?”
The Professor trudged over to the door and opened it, immediately regretting it. Outside, stood Harry Lou, bouncing up and down with excitement in nothing but his underwear. Professor Oak stared in disgust and muttered:
“Kid....it’s 2 in the morning.....whaddya want from an old geezer like me?”
“I WANT A POKÉMON!”
Professor Oak exclaimed in annoyance .
“I don’t have any Pokémon to give you, kid! If you’re expecting a free Pikachu or something, beat it!”
Harry Lou wasn’t about to give up yet. He grinned sneakily and said:
“If you don’t give me a Pokémon, I’ll hack your Fortnite account”
Professor Oak paled at the very thought and sighed in resignation.
“Alright kid, I’ll give you the stupid Pokémon, just leave me and my gaming career alone!”
Harry Lou watched triumphantly as Professor Oak dug through his duffel bag, looking for a Pokémon. After what seemed like centuries, Oak pulled out a dusty Pokéball and handed it to Harry Lou. Harry stared at the red ball in wonder and tossed it in the air, releasing a flash of light, revealing.....
