The Clowns

(Clowns can be the best entertainers, but also rather indulgent when it comes to their own ideas...
So as you can tell this is a two-person script, in this case, this script is for both of you:
I decided this could be a fun little part of the ASMR Halloween special, where we have a voice in each ear!
For these roles, Clown One is: catoosie and Clown Two is: Fangirl Senpai. I'd love both of you to have a really happy and slightly carefree tone to your voices throughout this script, think of all the fun you had at carnivals as a kid and put that energy into this!)

(I'm fine with you using your normal voice ( the voice you used for your audition), however, if you'd like to add your own flair to these characters then please, by all means, be my guest! These characters are now your roles and I want to hear how you feel the characters should sound!)

(As for the sound effect instructions, please don't worry about them! I'll add the sound effects in when I'm mixing the voice files together, I just like having the whole script together so when it comes time to edit, It's all there in one file.)

The Clowns-VAs: catoosie and Fangirl Senpai

(The soft sound of carnival music can be heard in the background and the sound of the listener's footsteps and the opening of a tent)

Clown One and Two-(Soft giggles and chuckles)

Clown One- Oh! Hello!

Clown Two- Hello new friend!

Clown One-We're so glad that we are able to meet you!

Clown Two- We're so glad you came to see us today!

Clown One- We know how tempting the other acts and oddities are here, but

Clown Two- Yet you came to see us!

Clown One and Two (Both laugh softly)

Clown One- Oh! Oh! How about we give our new friend here the royal clown treatment?

Clown Two- Oh! Yes, yes! We must! Oh, what do you say friend?

Clown One- Please, it would be an honour for us.

Clown Two- Oh, thank you, thank you!

Clown One- Alright, Alright, well first, we must make sure, that you can smile like a clown, just like us!

Clown Two- Oh true, very true!

Clown One- (Gasps) Oh...Oh my, how rude of us!

Clown Two- How rude?

Clown One- How ever so rude, we haven't introduced ourselves to our new friend...

Clown Two- Oh how very rude of us, please do forgive us, we are a little...Rusty in performing for an audience.

Clown One- Yes, it has been a while...

Clown One and Two- (Both sigh)

Clown Two- Anyway my name is (Pick a clown name!)

Clown One- Yes and my name is (Pick a clown name!)

Clown Two- Now you know our names, what might yours be?

Clown One and Two- (Both hum in acknowledgement)

Clown One- Hmmmm, oh, you know what they need?

Clown Two- No, what do they need?

Clown One- A Clown name!

Clown Two- Oh yes, what a marvellous idea

Clown One- Tell us friend, what would you like your Clown name to be?

Clown One and Two- (Both giggle in excitement)

Clown Two- Oh I like that, I like that very much!

Clown One- Oh it's wonderful, I-Aaaaah....aaaaaah...
(The sound of a horn honking goes off)

Clown One- Oh, please do forgive me, I just couldn't hold that in.

Clown Two- (Snickers) Must be your allergy to good clown names.

Clown One- Now then, since you now have a Clown name, and we can see that amazing smile of yours, it's on to the next step!

Clown Two- Oh yes, hair and makeup! Oh, this part is always so fun, hehe!

Clown One- Now I'll do one side of your face and hair...

Clown Two- And I'll do the other half! Oh, you're going to look amazing!

(Both Clowns pull out paint, brushes and start to brush and apply different things.)

Clown One- Hmmmm, let's do a white base...

Clown Two- Yes, that would be best...

(Brushing)

Clown One- Then how about half pink...

Clown Two- And half blue lips?

Clown One- Yes and then the reverse for eyeshadow.

Clown Two- Oh wonderful.

(More brushing and dabbing and painting)

Clown One- How about a little blush?

Clown Two- Make it light, just a little.

Clown One- Oh and how about some freckles?

Clown Two- A very cute idea!

(Brushing and poking)

Clown One- Now the hair...

Clown Two- How about the natural look? I think it compliments their face shape!

Clown One- True...But lets at least brush it out.

(Chill hair brushing)

Clown Two- Oh, you really are starting to look the part!

Clown One- Now for a costume!

Clown Two- Don't worry, I think I already know the perfect one!

(Fabric sounds as the clowns help the listener put it on)

Clown One- Put your arm in here...

Clown Two- And I'll zip this here...and done!

Clown One- Wow! You look just like us!

Clown Two- And that's what we need for the final part, the Carnival oath!

Clown One- Oh yes, the oath, the oath!

Clown Two- Don't look so worried friend, it's just to make you a fully fledged clown here hehe.

Clown One- Now repeat after us:

Clown One and Two:
We people here swear in this tent,
That we will not leave,
Nor try to get,
Away from here for now we are,
Members of the circus and a new star,
And even if we had the choice,
We couldn't leave for now we voice,
Our will is theirs, and so is our freedom,
Now we will stay as long as we live,
For the Ringmasters know,
Our souls are their gift.


Clown One and Two: (Hysterical laughter leaves both of them)

(The sounds of chains suddenly clink onto the listener)

Clown One: We're sorry we had to trick you, Friend...

Clown Two: But don't worry, we clowns always stick together!

Clown One: But right now, let us get those tears cleaned up...

Clown Two: And that makeup removed for now...

Clown One: You need some rest, after all, you'll need to be taught everything you need to know for your new role in life!

Clown One and Two: (Both softly giggle and the audio slowly fades out)
