caffineandshiny I'm replying to the latest comment of yours, because you are spitting out bullshit and I didn't bother to read, WELP mainly cuz its all the nostalgia dick riders have repeated through the years.

Okay, yeah Aang suffered lets get that out the window. He awoke to find his entire civilization in ruins, he awoke to find out ALL the air nomads, but him to be dead, he awoke to war, he awoke to this legend Avatar. Okay. He had a span of two years, while out running his captures, to master elements, he had good teachers, like he legit looked for the best. He was trained by the best. Katara, decent, Toph master, Zuko, great the dragons in the fire nation UHM YES, he received energybending by a turtle, Korra unlocked that herself VIA the Avatar connection with Aang's help.

Even if Tenzin had helped Korra, it wouldn't have done much difference, he himself is a spiritual failure. He never mastered it and only lied his way through. Jinora on the other hand was the only one who could help Korra with her spiritual side because she was an actual good teacher. Maybe Korra laid it on thick, but Tenzin really is a bad teacher. He cannot teach what he himself did not know. Korra was just wasting her time with him.
Her uncle was a good teacher and she learned to calm the evil spirits, but she was unable to keep learning because why? Her own uncle used her for personal and twisted gain.

So, season 1, Tenzin equals bad teacher. Korra had no time to learn since the equalists were already revolting under their noses. Korra has no time to actually train.
Season 2, finds a great teacher but was backstabbed. Her own uncle tries to kill her. Again, no actual time to train her spiritual side, another evil has surfaced that she needs to deal with. She learns to energy bend and becomes the first Avatar to Spirit fucking bend and puts back Vaatu and well, kills her uncle cuz fuck him, hes an evil dude and unlike Aang she knows when some people have to die. She did this while her spiritual side lacks now imagine if she had immense spiritual levels like Aang? Shes the first avatar to know how to metalbend and spiritbend. Back to the point, no time is given for her to continue training.
Season 3. Again no time is given for her to actually keep training as normal individuals are awakening to find they have air bending after Korra kept opened the spirit world. So off she goes to a search but while doing so she learns to use her meditation to follow Zaheer around the spirit world. Old Korra would never be able to project to the spirit world, sooo okay, some progress made from season 2 to 3, right? Then comes the end, where we see exactly where Korra's strength lies, her physical endurance and prowess, Aang would have never escaped and even if he did, Via stamina and little control he had of his Avatar state whenever emotional distress over took him, he would have lost to Zaheer way before Korra did. Korra fought the poison's effect and Zaheer all at once. Yes, she was help by the air benders, the air benders who wouldnt be there if it werent for her, so yes she may not have done it by herself, but its still an amazing damn feat showing where she excels.
Season 4. This is my major bother, how people keep saying she had a massive time jump to change and become better spiritually, yada yada. This is from people who may not know how strenuous it is dealing with mental illness and physical/mental disabilities. Through the years, Korra isolated herself because she felt she was useless, again all Korra wanted was to be a perfect indestructable Avatar, and when she sat on that wheelchair did she feel the world no longer need her and even if they did, she was unable to deliver because of her heavy PTSD and persistent depression. This continued through the time jump and even after. She almost died, she unbeknownst to her still carried some poison that weighed her down, yet she still manage to recover to a 75% Yeah she lost to Kuvira on their first fight, how could she not? Everyone pressured her to fight, she didn't want to fight her, she actually tried to avoid fighting, more character development people don't see or ignore for some reason, yes its due to weakness, but this is Korra seeing she is not at her best, shes actually thinking before acting. But because of all the pressure and threat she is forced to fight Kuvira and loses due to her PTSD still mentally affecting her. Its not until she speaks to Zaheer that she mentally recovers and learns to be more sympathetic than agressive. Again, CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, oh but its Korra and people just turn a blind eye.
Yes, she didn't become a master through the time jump, how could she when she was dealing with heavy traumatic mental and physical problems? She dedicated her time to recover and nothing more.

What people refuse to understand and I will continue to say this, ATLA is a story about building up a weak 12 year old boy who never wanted to be the Avatar. Its building him up to this amazing character.
LOK is about destroying and crushing this 17 year old young adult who thought she could do it all. She thought because she was the Avatar all would side with her. All would like her, but she came to a world where that no longer was the case. Yeah, people beg for her help when the world is ending, ahem the stupid president cough cough idiot. She comes in thinking shes hot shit, and the creators did the opposite from Aang's story, they took her apart to her lowest level and with that she made her greatest change and you see that when you see her battle with Kuvira and you see it again with her interactions with Asami. Shes no longer explosive, but more think before act.
