SPELL
Spell adalah mantra secara umum. Bisa dikatakan bentuk paling general dari suatu mantra. Semua jenis mantra termasuk ke dalam spell

CHARM
Mantra yang termasuk charm, adalah mantra yang menambah atau mengubah sifat suatu objek.
Contohnya :

~ Wingardium Leviosa : [-3HP -2MP pemantra, -6HP penerima]
JINX
Jinx termasuk dalam kategori ilmu hitam. Jinx bersifat lebih minor, efeknya melukai tapi lucu.

~ Levicorpus
HEX
Hex termasuk dalam kategori ilmu hitam. Hex digunakan untuk mendefinisikan sihir hitam yang lebih parah dari jinx.

CURSE
Curse yang diterjemahkan sebagai kutukan adalah bentuk sihir hitam yang paling buruk.
