Duygusallık kadar aptal bir durum bilmiyorum ben zira hiçbir değeri yok bunun. Ne işe yarar duygusallık mesela? Kimin derdine devadır? Boynun önüne eğik, sözde üzgün gezmek nedir, ne anlama gelir? Merhamet dışındaki bütün açılımları reddediyorum duygusallığın.Romantizm ne şimdi?

Şimdi bu yukarıdaki cümlelerin hepsinin yerine 'mal' kelimesini koy bak göreceksin ki bir şey değişmeyecek. Elinde çiçekle eve gelmek romantizm değildir; olması gerekendir ve övgüye ihtiyaç duymaz böyle adam. Mum ışığında bakıp keyif almak da değildir romantizm. Görsel zekâsı gelişmiş bir adam, o devlet dairesindeki beyaz ışığa tercih eder tabi ki mumun ışığını. Bir hediye paketine 'Sevgilimin eli değdi.' diye saatlerce bakmak mesela; bence bildiğin salaklıktır bu. Bir şarkı dinleyip hüngür hüngür ağlamak,nedir bu Allah aşkına? Mutlu mudur ağlayan, mutsuz mu? Mutluysa neden ağlamaktadır, mutsuzsa neden dinlemeye devam etmektedir o şarkıyı? Mutluysan gülsene oğlum ya da mutsuzsan kapat teybi de git kendine bi kahve ısmarla en azından!.. Derin bir nefes al ve bir daha geri gelmemek üzere gönder bütün hüzünlerini.
Öte yandan zor durumdakilere hüzünlenmekte anlamsız geliyor bana.
