October 6th around 730-740 I was driving southbound I-25 with the flow of traffic - maybe 50 mph. I am following behind a white BMW by three car lengths when a car merges in front of him and stops. This forces the car in front of me to slam on his breaks and even pull out a little to the left to avoid a collision. I slam on my breaks as well but I was not able to stop in time and our two cars were in a collision. Right after the collision since we were in the middle of the road I pull out next to the BMW and motion that we are going to go to the side of the interstate and move into the median on the far right. We wait for him to follow us but he doesn't and the police arrive and eventually they make it over to us as well. They tell us to drive down to the next exit and park at the 7-11 where they met up with us and filled out the appropriate paperwork. Road conditions were good. I did not see any traffic signs and we were in the far left lane that was not a toll road. This happened just south of the 84th exit on I-25. My brother Parker was in the front passenger seat and my dog Jack was in the back. Parker was the only one injured and he had a scraped knee.
