STEVE JOBS
Steven Paul Jobs was born on February 24, 1955 in San Francisco, California. Steve was adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs. The Jobs Family moved from San Fransisco to Mountain View, California when Jobs was five years old. Jobs attented Cupertino Junior High School and Homestead High School in Cupertino. At Homestead, Jobs became friends with Bill Fernandez. Bill shared his interests in electronics with Steve. Bill introduced Jobs to Steve Wozniak, a computer and electronics whiz child who was known as “Woz”. Then, they started working together.
After he graduated from Homestead High School, he applied to Reed College. Reed College was very expensive. He had to leave school. After he left school, he earned money by collecting bottles and boxes and selling them.
In 1974, he worked with Steve Wozniak in Homebrew Computer Club. At that time, he was working as game-developer in Atari Inc. He saved money and he travelled to India with his friend Daniel Kottke.
In 1976, Jobs, Wozniak and Ronald Wayne founded Apple Inc. The first success of Apple was adding Mike Scott to the company’s staff. Apple Inc. produced a computer which was called Macintosh. Macintosh was the most advanced personal computer, in those days. This computer had a very strong influence on Apple’s development. But there were problems between Jobs and other employees. He had to leave Apple Inc.
After he left Apple, he founded a computer company which was called “NeXT Inc.” This company produced computers like Mac, but NeXT’s computers were more powerful than Mac. NeXT’s computers couldn’t get attention.
Steve Jobs bought Pixar. Pixar had financial problems. In those days, Disney helped Pixar. After that, Pixar’s movies began to get attention. In 2006, Disney bought Pixar. When Disney bought Pixar, it was one of the biggest movie-studio.
In 1996, NeXT was sold to Apple. Jobs produced new Mac, Mac OS X, iMac. Apple Inc. earned its prestige again. In 2000’s Apple Inc. focused on mobile telecommunication.



Steve Jobs was one of the richest people in the World. He was the inventor of a lot of things (adapters, music players (iPod), telephones (iPhone Series), keyboards, user interfaces etc.)
Steve had pancreatic cancer. He had a surgery. But, he died at the age of 56 on October 5, 2011 in Palo Alto, California, USA. After his death, Tim Cook became the chairman of Apple.
