In you discussion post, address the following prompts or questions, and do some research to address them if necessary.
Now think about all the tasks you perform throughout the course of a normal day. Create a list of every task you have completed prior to right now, for today only. For example, you may have brushed your teeth, taken a shower, ate breakfast, rode your bike to school, etc.? List anything and everything that you did today!
Think further about one of those tasks (problems) in your daily routine. Did you have to prepare for school? Get ready for work? Practice or warm-up for a band or sports team?
Now break down the individual steps you followed to complete that task.
Congratulations! You have just written your first algorithm for the course.
Create an initial post that addresses the questions above to the discussion by Friday.
Go to the Week 5 Discussion forum and click the Discuss: Everyday Algorithms discussion topic.
You must make your initial post first before you are able to see your classmates' posts.
Return to this discussion throughout the week, and respond thoughtfully to at least two classmates by Tuesday.
Did your classmate list a similar task? What steps were left out? What extra steps did they include? Which step(s) were a surprise to you?
Think about following the steps to one of your classmates posts. Can you accomplish the task following only the steps outlined? Or are there some missing pieces?
