Seeing the worms
Curl around my bones
In the mirth of decay
Wriggling writhing
Dancing
Mocking
And it makes me sick
To think that one day
I’d have rejoiced
In that image
Shatter the mirror
Defy it
It’s left its’ smoke at the door
I’ll burn off my carousel of faces
Rip the reigns right out of fears’ claws
And with my guillotine
Inverted iron Icarus
Nothing can stop me
As I hurl harpoons at the Heavens
And ascend to the stars
From the darkness a temple emerges
On the pinnacle of Olympus Mons
Forged from virtues and vices
And on it’s golden throne
It sits, eyes closed
Wielding scales and a trumpet
Feathers and hearts
I am coming
…
I climb
But this
Mirror shard waif with
Wallpaper skin
On a decayed memory skeleton
Is staring at me
I consume
Shred my mouth
Spitting wounds
At it all
Red rain
Become
Scarlet spikes
Become
Tainted tower
Become
Immortal impaler
The door crashed open
Nailed to it’s throne
Hearts, feathers, the trumpet and scales
Fall
A fitting punishment
For the maker
Of weakness
Become the serpentine
Parasite
Broken mirror begs
It lies again
I have

Infested
