Notes - notes.io

It still seems like you don't get my point. My point is STILL, iPhones are made for the majority. How many fucking people even knows what rooting is? You see, the reason why I say it's made for the majority is because the majority uses it for simple things. They tend to use stuff like popular apps (Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, Messenger, Diefferent games etc.) I'm not saying rooting is bad, I'm just saying it's not for the average user aka. the Majority.

And yes, I do know a lot of the open-source stuff, but I'm still talking about the majority. Because there's A LOT of mainstream people who has no fucking idea what rooting is, heck they probably barely even know what open-source means (Exaggerating, I just hope you get the point. MANY people never use it.)
I'm tech savy and most of my friends, including gamers, who might have just a tiny bit knowledge on about pc's, has absolutely no clue what rooting is.

"they're focussed on sales and marketing only, not quality" So now it's not a quality product, how come? Because they're good at marketing makes it a bad product? That's literally what you just said.

I don't care if it's OLED or just LED. Those are top-notch LED panels anyways, and they're of really good quality. You only deny that stuff because you hate on Apple, you can go on literally ANY reviewer on YT, and they will say that it might not be OLED but they're still very great LED panels, in fact so good that they can compete with the OLED ones.

As to "I can save my stuff anywhere" Well, I don't need to save mine at 10 different places, because mine is all synced at one place. (It's not because I chose not to.) The point is, you can sync all your stuff on an iPhone as well, you just want that freedom to have it at 10 different places rather than it all at one place.

And sure Android is good for developers. I never said it was bad, in fact, I defend Android phones, because they're really good budget, but you just don't seem to understand AT ALL what I wrote. I've said it multiple times and I said it again, just TO MAKE SURE you get it this time. Android has really good budget phones, but no way a 250$ is better than a 1000$ iPhone. That's just bullshit. I DO NOT care how much you love that OS, the OS alone doesn't determine whether or not a phone is good. You're the one who mentioned the hardware as important, not me. And now you say Android phones are better, simply because of... Android.

"If apple makes phones for the majority, how come they release just a few phones a year vs the "hundreds if not thousands of phones on the 79%-ish"" That doesn't change the fact it's a phone for the majority. The majority still doesn't know what rooting is. If you go ask people they will probably stare weird at you like you're a fucking nerd. (Not that there's anything wrong with being a nerd, I am myself too.)

"And if i'm saying the exact same thing every one else is, isn't it just you who doesn't agree? Doesn't that make everyone else right, and not you?"
You present yourself as a developer and a tech savvy, and the only things you mentioned was SD card and Jack? You don't get what I'm saying do you? Just try, I don't have to say more to this subject.

Also, if you're tech savvy, you should know the camera isn't all about the lens.

UHD doesn't necessarily mean HDR. It might be much more present in the newer ones, but my LG TV, UHD from 2014-15-ish is not with HDR, but still called UHD.

"but making a good screen doesn't make up for integrating a bad graphics chip" What's bad about the graphics chip? Their phones have been at least on top 10 since Apple released theit first smartphone, and they are still there.
Just in general, what is your problem with all the "integrated hardware"? It works great for the end consumer, which is the point.

iOS is made to be simple, reliable and secure. That's why you aren't supposed to root that as well, and that's also why you don't have warranty/Applecare on it while it's jailbreaked. You can reverse the jailbreak though, but read above and you should get what the point is.

Overall: No a 250$ is still not better than a 1000$ phone, regardless of you being able to buy a camera and a phone for the same money. People want to buy a phone, with the camera. Not both. That's why your argument is invalid. I didn't come here to discuss how much you can get for a grand, I could buy a shitload fo phone cases for a grand and resell them for 20 grand. Go to a e-commerce site if you wanna discuss that. (We could discuss that too since I run a e-commerce store, but I don't think you came here for that either.)

Also, right now Huawei P20 Pro is my favourite phone. Excellent photos and just overall great performance. But is that a 250$ phone? No.

You really seem to think that I don't know of all those smaller communities, that are dedicated to software and hardware etc. but I do. But those are called communities for a reason, and that's because they aren't the majority. When I say the majority, I mean literally anyone. The old grandpa who is to have his first phone, the 43 yr old mom who just wants a new phone. The party guy who just Snaps being in the club all night. All different types of people, but in the end, the majority. Those people have never heard about rooting etc. They just want a working phone that doesn't lagg, snaps great photos etc. The stereotype might be changing into more tech savvy, but it hasn't yet.
