TTP's Omar Khorasani had tweeted a comment on Hamid Mir's attack, which justified Mir getting targeted via this link 7 hours back.

Media reported that TTP had accepted responsibility for the attack on Mir.

I tried to compose a basic translation of the statement about 30 minutes back, finished the basic draft, refreshed the link and saw that Khorasani had removed the comment and posted that TTP HAS NOT ATTACKED MIR, despite their differences with him.

This is the translation of the TTP comment I have.

"--When someone is attacked
After the attack on Geo News anchor Hamid Mir, his channel began discussing all of his virtues, journalists started counting the services he had done for journalism, which made me think if Mir was really like this, then why was he attacked? After a while, I recalled a few stances which Hamid Mir has taken, which include his enmity against mujahideen (religious fighter, a term used by militants for themselves) and Islam, his support for a propagandist girl (Malala Yusafzai), his endorsement of an operation against the mujahideeen and his preference for democracy over an Islamic rule. He has said many a things which are not befitting of a Muslim. This is why I am not reluctant to say that God Almighty always punishes man according to his acts. So whenever someone is attacked, before accusing others, one should look at their acts. --"
