Well, in the sound of thunder, there are these time travelers that hunt dinosaurs. It's a VERY strict rule that no one goes off the designated path so that no future gets altered. One of the hunters gets adventourous and gets off the path to shoot the T-Rex they were going to kill anyway. They're walking back to their machine, and the worker for this business that's called "Time Travelin' Hunters Corp." tells the man that he should not have done that, because who knows what it may have done. The man sees no harm, he killed only what they were going to anyway, so what's the big deal? They get back to their time and the entire human race is different from them. People are the same people, but they look different. English is still a thing, but it has odd syntax and words are jumbled up, but mean the same thing. The company's name after they get back changed to "Tmei Taver'lni Hnuerts Cpro." The worker asks the man what else he did that he was not supposed to. He lifts up his boot, and it turns out he had stepped on a butterfly, completely altering the future. The worker shoots the man and the people describe it as a "Sound of Thunder," that was completely new to them, since through the altering, guns were never made.
