Antidotum adalah penawar racun, sedangkan antitoksik adalah penawar terhadap zatyang beracun (toksik) terhadap tubuh. Antidotum lebih difokuskan terhadap over dosis atau dosistoksik dari suatu obat. Kondisi suatu obat dapat menimbulkan keracunan bila digunakanmelebihi dosis amannya. Pada keracunan yang parah dibutuhkan antidotum yang memang terbukti menolong terhadap efek keracunan obat tertentu, misal asam Folinat untuk keracunan metotrexat

KOMPOSISI
Folinic acid
INDIKASI
Antidotum untuk methotrexate. Kompensasi trhdp aksi antagonisasam folat pd obat sitostatik. Utk terapi kombinasi dengan obatsitistatik lain seperti 5-fluorouracil pada tumor GI dan tumor kepaladan leher.
KONTRAINDIKASI
Anemia pernisiosa atau anemia lain karena defisiensi vit B12.
EFEK SAMPING
Reaksi alergi (jarang). Gangguan GI pd dosis tinggi. Remisihematologi dengan progresi gangguan neurologik.

Kehamilan laktasi

Trimetropim, kitrimeksasol, fluorourasi.
DOSIS
Pemberian via inj IV atau infuse IV. Antidotum thp metotreksat Dosistergantung individu. Kombinasi dgn 5-fluorourasil 100mg/m
